Police officers and their families give so much to help their communities. When there are opportunities to give back, we like to take them. Hero911 has answered the needs of departments and local LEOs in a variety of ways this past year. Here are some of the support programs for LEOs that Hero911 has been a part of recently:
An all-inclusive, weeklong Force Science class in Chicago given to LEO from Louisiana
Hero911 sponsored a Louisiana police officer to attend the Force Science class that was held in Chicago. The Force Science Institute (link here https://www.forcescience.org/) provides training on understanding human behavior in high stressed situations based on extensive research.
“Our goal is to provide information on human behaviors during high-stress, rapidly unfolding encounters to those who are tasked with evaluating and investigating the behavior of individuals involved in these events. It is our hope that we can support their efforts to ensure that these evaluations are thoroughly informed, fair and fact-finding.”
Hero911 will continue sponsoring LEO’s to attend events and training such as this.
Supported family of fallen officer in St. Louis, MO
Hero911 joined others to raise money for the wife and child of fallen St. Louis County police officer from who was shot and killed in the line of duty. Through a law enforcement appreciation night held at El Burro Loco in St. Louis, MO all LEOs ate for free and a portion of all paid meals was donated to the family of the fallen officer. This spectacular event, organized and facilitated by Hero911, raised money and brought the community together showing support for all LEOs.
Provided holiday cheer for ill children at Cardinal Glennon Hospital by providing gifts
Hero911 hosted a “cheer for the holidays” event at Cardinal Glennon children’s hospital where well over $1,000 of gifts were given to children who were in the hospital over the Christmas holiday. Hero911 had several officers from various departments in IL and MO come together in support to put smiles on the children’s faces! Hero911 teamed up with 5.11 Tactical and Tru-Armor to make this a wonderful holiday. Olaf was even present who was just as big of a hit as the uniformed men and women in blue! Hero911 has plans to bring holiday cheer again this year to those suffering.
Provided Porter County Sheriff Dept., IN & Luling PD, TX with a Simunition Training Package
Hero911 teamed up with Tru-Armor, Dana Safety Supply, and General Dynamics to donate two Simunitions training packages to police agencies. Porter County Sheriff’s Department in Valparaiso, IN and Luling Police Department in Luling, TX were the lucky winners of the FREE raffle as being supportive of the innovative Hero911 service. Each department was awarded a Simunitions package valued at over $2,500 each.
Hero911 will continue its mission in supporting LEOs and police agencies in need of equipment and training classes.Departments and LEOs do a lot to help keep our communities safe. Hero911 is answering the needs of these departments and LEOs to continue to support the good work being done. These are just a few of the most recent projects Hero911 has been involved with.
