(this may take a few moments to load…) NSAMS--Informational The Hero911® armed intruder alert is reserved for officers within a 10-20 mile radius of reported active armed intruders. This alert includes all the bells and whistles; an audio alarm to a smartphone, mapped location of the threat and the popup screen to acknowledge plain clothes or uniform with a running ticker information display. The goal of this program is to help ensure officers are ready in case of a real emergency.

In addition to nearby armed intruder alerts, the Hero911 Network now provides non-alert situational awareness messages for mass situational events nationwide.

The NSAMS is for general situational awareness of an active situational event anywhere in the nation. This message is low key and viewed as a push message similar to an amber alert or weather event.
